Connect Telegram, step by step

Telegram is the fastest channel to set up: you create a bot with Telegram's official BotFather, paste one token, and your AI is live.

Open BotFather

In Telegram, tap the search icon and type @BotFather.
Pick the one with the blue verified tick — that's Telegram's official bot factory.
Tap Start.

Send the message /newbot.
BotFather asks for a name — this is what customers see, e.g. Sweet Crumbs Bakery.
Then a username — must end in "bot", e.g. SweetCrumbsBot. If taken, try variations.
BotFather replies "Done!" with a long token like 7213456789:AAH8x….
Tap the token once to copy it. Treat it like a password.

In your dashboard, open Connect → Telegram card.
Paste the token into the field and click Connect.

Your token is encrypted at rest. You can disconnect and revoke it anytime from the same card.

Search your bot's username in Telegram and send /start.

Does Telegram charge anything?

Can customers still reach a human?

Yes — the menu has a built-in "Talk to a human" button that flags the chat for you and pauses the AI in that conversation.

What if I regenerate the token in BotFather?

The old token stops working, so the connection breaks. Reconnect by pasting the new token into the Telegram card.
