Connect Telegram, step by step.

Telegram is the fastest channel to set up: you create a bot with Telegram's official BotFather, paste one token, and your AI is live.

Open BotFather

In Telegram, tap the search icon and type @BotFather.
Pick the one with the blue verified tick — that's Telegram's official bot factory.
Tap Start.

Send the message /newbot.
BotFather asks for a name — this is what customers see, e.g. Sweet Crumbs Bakery.
Then a username — must end in "bot", e.g. SweetCrumbsBot. If taken, try variations.
BotFather replies "Done!" with a long token like 7213456789:AAH8x….
Tap the token once to copy it. Treat it like a password.

In your dashboard, open Connect → Telegram card.
Paste the token into the field and click Connect.
We validate it with Telegram and register the webhook for you — you'll see Connected within seconds.

Your token is encrypted at rest. You can disconnect and revoke it anytime from the same card.

Search your bot's username in Telegram and send /start.
The interactive menu appears — tap an FAQ button and watch the instant answer.

Does Telegram charge anything?

No. Bots are completely free on Telegram — you only need an AutoReply AI plan that includes the channel.

Do my FAQs carry over from WhatsApp?

Yes. FAQs, tone, and business details are shared across every channel — set them once.

Can customers still reach a human?

Yes — the menu has a built-in "Talk to a human" button that flags the chat for you and pauses the AI in that conversation.

What if I regenerate the token in BotFather?

The old token stops working, so the connection breaks. Reconnect by pasting the new token into the Telegram card.

Does Telegram charge anything?

No. Telegram bots are free to run — you only pay your AutoReply AI plan.

Can customers find my bot without a link?

Yes, by searching the username you chose. Most owners also pin the link in their bio and on their website.

What if a customer sends a photo or voice note?

It is saved to your inbox, labelled, and flagged for you, and the customer is told someone will take a look.

It answers from your FAQs first. The AI only improvises when nothing matches, so the answers customers get are the ones you wrote.
It knows when you're closed. Set your opening hours in Settings → Reply settings and pick your timezone; outside those hours you choose whether it still replies.
It hands over when it should. Ask for a human, or say something it cannot safely answer, and the chat is flagged for you instead of guessed at.
Photos and voice notes reach you. The AI does not read attachments, so when a customer sends one it is saved to your inbox, labelled, and marked as needing you — the customer gets a short note saying you will look.
STOP is honoured. A customer who replies STOP stops getting automatic replies, on every channel, until they say START. You can still answer them by hand.
You can take over any chat. Reply yourself and the AI steps back for that conversation. "Stop AI replies" keeps it out until you say otherwise.

Write FAQs the way customers type. "cake price?" earns its keep more than "What is your pricing structure?".
Put the numbers in. Prices, delivery charges, timings. A vague FAQ produces a vague reply — the AI will not invent a figure you did not give it.
Ten to fifteen FAQs is the sweet spot. Five is enough to go live; beyond fifteen you are usually better off improving the ones you have.
Read the first day's chats. Every question it handled badly is an FAQ you have not written yet.
